Afternoon Session D: JSTOR: New Audience Initiatives
A common goal for many publishers and libraries, as well as for JSTOR, is to facilitate the widest feasible dissemination of
content – not just to academia, but to other sectors and individuals who have a need for or interest in these important
works. This session will explore progress on a variety of initiatives undertaken by JSTOR to make scholarly works available
to new audiences in new ways. We will cover the alumni access pilot, mobile apps, and social networking activities. How
can your institution or publication benefit from these initiatives? What other approaches have you explored to widen
content dissemination that others may learn from?
